Barnardo's Missing in Yorkshire scheme
The Barnardo's Missing in Yorkshire Service offers a service to young people of 16 years and under who are reported missing. They cover the whole of Kirklees and Bradford Metropolitan Districts and work in partnership with West Yorkshire Police, the Kirklees Primary Care Trusts and Kirkless and Bradford Social Services Departments. The Missing in Yorkshire service fits into Barnardo’s theme of ‘protecting children from harm’ because we aim to help children and young people to keep themselves safe. We offer a confidential service to young people when they return home or to their care base.
Young people can contact the service direct on 01274 499095 (Bradford) or 01924 483754 (Kirklees) or on freephone 0800 163776. Further info can be found at: www.barnardos.org.uk/missinginyorkshire.
